times up

i've been spending a lot of time in birmingham lately because my parents are getting ready to move back to texas (most likely the end of the month). normally i just come and help out with what i can around the house, hang out a little bit and then go back to montevallo. but when i decide to stay the night i can't help but feel weird. i don't feel like this place is home anymore. but why should it. i have no friends here and my family is about to be gone in a month. let's be real, feeling like a city or even a state isn't home anymore can make you antsy about the future. and that is just what it has done to me. it sounds like i'm sad about it, but really i'm not. i'm happy because it will make leaving so much easier. 

and for the next few months i will be very very very busy, so i apologize in advance if it seems like i'm avoiding you. i promise i'm not. i just really have to get some shit together and be responsible.

long time no see!

it been a while, but that just because too many things have been going on!

today i finished my last final of the semester. i officially have ONE semester left until i am a college graduate.   :)

i couldn't be more excited that is summer because i get to spend it with the best people on the planet.
i don't think i could put into words how happy i am with the people in my life right now.
the only thing i need now is a job!

oh & look at how long my hair has grown!

now to begin four days of celebration for all of my lovely babies graduating! I'm so proud and happy for all of you! <3

spring break is next week and once again, i have no plans.
i honestly prefer to not have any set plans for spring break though. Then you have no expectations about how a trip is going to turn out. i think its better to find fun where you least expect it.

i'm sitting here waiting for another storm to come through. for some reason storms really calm me down. i may even like them more than a lovely spring day. 

this past weekend i was lucky enough to go to new orleans with some friends and family. of course it was just fantastic to get out of this town for a few days & the destination couldn't have been a better location. i've been to the city a few times, but you can never truly appreciate it until you are old enough to take it all in. somewhere during the parades, beads, bourbon street, father ramon haunting the hotel and courtyard talks...i fell a little bit in love with the city. (even after stepping in a puddle of god knows what on bourbon street while wearing sandals).

i may even move there for a bit right after school. who knows though, i will probably be set on at least 3 different cities before that time comes. 

until then i will slowly attempt to get my life together piece by piece. 

& the academy awards last night.
